Again， this book has the good bones of a well written and entertaining story however I believe this book suffers from a writer trying to extend a 1 maybe two book series into three books。 There were several very boring， into the minutia， portions that caused me to skim through a lot of this book。

The One。。。Overall the story centers around Fallon。 Her training and adjusting to being the One。 My only problem was that both Duncan and Fallon are too young for the grown up feelings they portrayed。 I think that this book has more of a young adult novel feel。 The chapters that centered on New Hope stay more in tune with series。

Well and truly in the Fantasy genre， with witches， faeries， elves， and lots of magick。 One of the things I like about Nora Roberts is her strong characters， and this book did not disappoint。 The story had a couple of unexpected twists， and now I want to read the last book in the trilogy to see how it all comes together。
